To be exploited or not to be
Hi people
Well, as I said I had posted an ad in sulekha seeking sponsorship.I received a call from a brokerage company saying they wanted a data entry clerk.He told me their website and I sent him my resume(as requested) to the mail id I got from their website.He told he wanted to see me.We set a date for the interview.He agreed to pay in cash.Anyway I and my husband decided to enquire about legaity of receiving pay in cash while on H4 visa.Our relatives discouraged us saying the person could be a police officer in mufti trying to trap immigrants doing illegal activities.Anyway we got scared and ended up turning down the offer politely.I was really crushed because it was a great opportuity since I was not required to leave the comfort of my home.After the interview the person who called me had told that he would give me access to their website whereby I just needed to sit at home and enter their clients’ details and I could just call the office to let them know that the work has been completed and its being sent.
Anyway this incident made me suspicious of every offer I am getting.
