Hi everyone, Your stories are really inspiring and I sympathize with the situation that dependent spouses who aren't able to get work authorization are put in. I am a law student and I am writing a paper on this issue in particular. I am writing about the significant gains that were accomplished when the Violence Against Women Act was reauthorized in 2005 and included a provision which allows dependent spouses who are victims of domestic violence to apply for work authorization.
